The agricultural land owned by the Hendred Estate is situated to the south and east of the village and extends to approximately 620 hectares.  Of this, 530 hectares is in production, the remainder being woods, shelterbelts, tracks, yards and buildings.  The farm is predominantly in a crop rotation with a small area of grass supporting an 800 head ewe flock producing fat lambs.
