The pub has had many Landlords and Landladies over the years and for much of the 20^th Century was in the hands of the Mulford family, the current incumbent is Tracy Fane who took it over in August 2000 from Neil Heywood.  The pub is currently owned by Greene King of Bury St Edmunds, who bought Abingdon’s Moorland Brewery in 1999.
