Transport and Travel

Travel plays a valuable part in maintaining links between our homes, work, school etc., and the availability of buses through the village is essential for many people. The Stagecoach company runs most of our local bus services and an hourly service runs both to and from Wantage and Didcot. Tappins the coach company also runs several times a week, e.g. for those wishing to visit Newbury market. School buses are a regular sight in the morning and evening, dropping off or picking up the school children at the bus stop opposite the Plough.

From Didcot, frequent train services run to Reading, London Paddington, Bristol and the West, Oxford, Birmingham and the North.
