The Madeleine angevine grapes were picked towards the
end of October and the Seyval blanc grapes in the first week of November.
The McKinnon family turned out in force, supported by
many friends, both from the village and further afield. The grapes were
of excellent quality, the Seyval particularly forming classical bunches
that benefited from the late harvest. This quality is expected to show
in the quality of the wine, which is anticipated to be bottled and ready
for sale by September 2001.
