Hendred Family Show
For the Millennium year, the annual show was bought forward from its usual timing of September to 19th August to enable it to form part of the Hendred Village Millennium Celebration. With a further break with tradition, the show was held in a splendid marquee set up on the Sports Ground in Mill Lane.
The committee (Adrian Sessions, Mike Harris, Mick Childs and Rachel Sutton) worked closely with the Sports Club committee to organise the event whilst ensuring that the normal show arrangements stayed intact. There were over were over 100 classes and almost 40 trophies to be won which were presented by Dave Mcdowell and Edward Eyston.
