Purpose of organisation    To provide a friendly social gathering at which carpet bowls (short mat) is played in a reasonably non-competitive way.
           
  Brief history of organisation    Fund raising to purchase the necessary equipment started early in 1980. The carpet and woods were purchased around August - September 1980. Meetings started October 1980, with  approximately 25 founder members.
           
  Where and when   Wednesday evenings from 7.45 to 10pm in Snells Hall, during the period from September through to May. The Club has two carpets so that up to 16 players can be involved at the same time.
