Purpose of organisation    To play football, both on Saturdays (two teams in the North Berks League) and on Sundays (one team in the Autotype Upper Thames Valley league)

Brief history of organisation    The football club dates back to the 1800's, but the present format of two Saturday teams and one Sunday team has been in operation for the last 7/8 years.

Since 1998 the Club has built up strong links with Hendreds' twin village of Sarceaux in Normandy, competing regularly in their annual 6-a-side tournament in June. In addition a full team has played the Sarceaux team , both in France and in the UK.

How often meet and where    Matches played on Saturdays and Sundays at the Hendreds Sports ground and away, during the season. Social events also organised.

  Special events for Millennium year

The first team won the North Berks Cup for the first time in the club's history, which was a major achievement. Goals from Stuart Bristow, Kieron Day, Matthew Launchbury and Chris Pettis secured a 4-1 victory against Shrivenham. The Sunday team finished as runners-up in the Autotype Upper Thames Valley League Division 1.

End of season Player of the Year Dinner & Dance, when the North Berks Cup, runner up medals, and AFC own trophies were on show.

Friendly match on New Year's day 2000.
