All residents of East Hendred in Year 2000 were given several opportunities to provide information for this record (including an insert in the October issue of the Village Bulletin). Over 10% of residents responded and we are grateful for their input - it represents a good cross-section of our community and illustrates the diversity of ages, occupations and backgrounds.

Some villagers kindly provided photographs of themselves and/or their houses and we have included these. On other pages we have used general street scenes, so the photographs do not always include the right house.
